Grand Marshal with a sash

On 23 January, Grand Marshal Sash Ceremony took place in Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in New York. The sash was handed to Marcin Luc, the Grand Marshal of the 85th Pulaski Parade.

The event was hosted by Richard Mazur, a valued Polish community leader. After a brief welcome, the floor was given to Adrian Kubicki, Consul General of Poland in New York. The Consul expressed his hope that October’s parade would take place without any pandemic restrictions.

Pulaski Day Parade is a beautiful example of manifestation of Polish culture, origin and tradition. I perfectly remember when I was standing by a railing on the Fifth Avenue and watching my first Parade. I could not believe that one of the most famous streets in the world can suddenly turn completely red and white. It did not even cross my mind at that time that one day I would be at the other side of that railing having an honour to lead the Pulaski Day Parade myself – said Marcin Luc, the Grand Marshal of the 85th Pulaski Parade.
