MARCIN LUC

Marcin Luc was born in 1981 in Kolbuszowa, Poland. He was raised by his mother Alina Luc, who had to sacrifice a lot to provide for him, and his brother. She put all her hearth, and love into raising him. Thought him about morals, values, and helped to shape him into the man he is today. Till this day she plays a big role in his life. At the age of 19 right after graduating from school he immigrated to the United States. Like many other immigrants he lived and worked in Greenpoint after he arrived in this country. 

He started his professional career in the banking sector. In 2007 he joined Capital One Bank, where for the first time he had a contact with insurance, and investment products. Marcin obtained his first insurance license in 2008, which turned out to be a jump start for his later profession. Soon after, he continued his professional career in Bank of America where he worked closely with small to medium size businesses. 

It was his father who introduced him to the property and casualty aspect of insurance in 2011. It is at that time when he developed an interest in the insurance industry. Marcin made his first step towards becoming an insurance broker by obtaining his property & casualty license and started to work in his father’s brokerage located in Ridgewood, Queens. Under the guidance of his father Robert Luc, Marcin acquired expert knowledge of the industry and gained hands-on experience in providing wide range of insurance solutions. 

After four years of working alongside his father, Marcin decided to pursue the dream of owning his own business and did so in 2015. He chose Greenpoint as a location of his office. Having had lived and worked there before, he had no doubt it would be an ideal place for setting up operations.

In Greenpoint Insurance Brokerage, Marcin offers all types of insurance coverage ranging from business and commercial to health, life, automobile and more. He is qualified to sell insurance in five states: New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and Florida. In 2017 he opened a second office in Warwick, NY just a short distance from the New Jersey State line.

When serving his clients at 680 Manhattan Ave, Marcin proved himself to be a true friend of the Polish community. He is known to always be there to help others in need by giving his expert advice not only on insurance matters. Together with his wife he actively participates and helps organizing many events within Polish community and supports various initiatives. Since 2014 he is also a member of The Pulaski Association of Business and Professional Men, and current member of its board of directors. In 2019 Marcin received an honor to lead Greenpoint as Contingent Marshal in General Casimir Pulaski Memorial Parade. 

Privately, Marcin is a happy husband of Magda and a caring father of his two sons, Aleksander and Sebastian. He enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, classic cars, motorcycle rides and enjoying nature. Together with his wife, they enjoy helping others, and often support individuals in need, as well as donate to various charity organizations.
